Our Story, Mission and Values
Founded in 1994 , Calderdale Carers (a registered Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee) was created to provide support and information and to address the social isolation experienced by carers,former carers and cared for.
Our current mission is to work with partner groups to promote well-being, information and inclusion through accessible social activities and support. We value empathy, respect, and community empowerment above all.
Our Team
In partnership with Our Place our experienced team of part time support workers, and volunteers work jointly and tirelessly to create welcoming social opportunities, provide support and information.
Join us to make a difference or participate in our activities for support and enjoyable social experiences.
Additionally we have regular visits from other key services to inform and support carers,former carers and their cared for.
We have a committee of trustees elected by our members. All of whom are rooted in the community we serve and are current or former carers.
