Supporting Carers, former carers and cared for with activities, entertainment and information
Our charity in partnership with Our Place provides a variety of social events, workshops, and outings that create safe and welcoming spaces for carers, former carers and their cared for to enjoy companionship and personal growth.
We operate from the meeting spaces which we rent from Boothtown Methodist Church, Boothtown Road.
We are a secular Charity welcoming all
Events usually include unlimited refreshments and for a small charge (currently £2) a freshly prepared 2 course meal
Our experienced team can also help with referals to other organisations for information, advocacy and support.
We operate from an accessible venue with wheelchair access and disability toilet facilities.

Diverse Social and Information Events
From lunch clubs with activities and entertainment to cinema excursions, we offer activities tailored to foster inclusion and enjoyment for all participants.
We also have regular visits from relevant services that provide help and support to Carers, former carers and cared for.
Through our partner Charity Our Place there are regular fundraising events including jumble sales and stalls at car boot sales.
Donations of saleable goods always welcomed.
Experienced Support Staff and Volunteers
Our dedicated team of part time staff and volunteers is trained to provide compassionate and accessible support throughout all activities.
Led by Melanie who is Coordinator for Our Place and a Calderdale Carers Support Worker.
We also have extensive knowledge of, and links with many other support and information services in Calderdale
We regularly have speakers and visits from services that can advise and help those who join our events.

Welcoming Community
We nurture a warm and respectful environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to participate.
Where carers, former carers and their cared for can meet, socialise, receive help, information and support in a welcoming and safe setting.
Although we meet in rooms rented from Boothtown Methodist Church we are not a faith charity and as such do not have any religious focus.
Local Impact
Based in Boothtown but open to the whole of the Calderdale area, we strengthen social connections among carers and their cared for.
We are a voluntary sector organisation rooted in our community.
We have strong and long lasting relationships with many other local organisations who provide a wide range of help, advice and support.
Our staff and volunteers can provide help to inform about services available and make referrals where apropriate and requested.
We never share information without consent.
