* Always there to answer your calls.
We are a small project with only three part time staff and administration support. We do not offer a telephone helpline as such but encourage callers to ring us between 9.30am and 12.30pm. We like to offer a listening ear to carers to help alleviate some of the isolation that they can experience, as well as offering information and advice.
However, there are times when it is necessary for staff to be out of the office, such as at meetings where it is important that carers’ needs and views be put forward or at support groups. In these situations our phone calls are picked up by a reputable answering service called Answer4u. This means that during normal office hours, Mon – Fri. 9am to 5pm, you should get a person to speak to rather than a machine. They should always make it clear that they are a reception or answering service and will ask for details that may enable us to call you back. If you have a simple query it may be useful to leave them the details so that we can find the information you need before returning your call. Alternatively, you may just wish to leave your name and contact number.
We appreciate that carers sometimes need to speak to staff members but as a small team we cannot cover the whole of Calderdale without the flexibility that the answering service provides for us. We hope you understand this and will always return your calls as soon as possible. |
